I've been thinking of the same thing... we're what Tolkien would call "sub-creators". Check out this blog called Oh Joy! It's a little bit commercial but it features works by different artists (illustration, design, ceramics, paper, etc.)
Yeah I know. Pope John Paul refers to us as "co-creators" in his letter to artists. I'll never get enough of that piece.
